# Connect ChatGPT

Use ChatGPT's custom remote MCP app or plugin entry when it is available to your account. This guide is not a claim that Sanctris is listed in the public app directory.

## Setup path

1. On ChatGPT web, open [Plugins](https://chatgpt.com/plugins), select the plus button and Add custom MCP server. Older surfaces may expose a custom app entry through developer mode or workspace administration.
2. Supply the remote server URL `https://app.sanctris.com/mcp` and choose OAuth.
3. Use dynamic client registration when offered. Sanctris does not require a client secret for its public-client flow.
4. Complete authorization on the Sanctris domain, select the correct workspace and purpose.
5. Create/install the plugin, select it in the conversation and start with a read-only pending-task query.

Labels, account eligibility and organization approval vary. Follow the current official guide rather than assuming a particular subscription includes this feature.

## Current limits

Sanctris implements an authenticated remote endpoint, OAuth discovery and PKCE. A full ChatGPT end-to-end compatibility test is still pending. If ChatGPT requires an authentication or discovery behavior different from the implemented server, report the exact error; do not disable authentication or paste access tokens into chat to work around it.

A host may cache tool discovery. Refresh/recreate its tool snapshot after Sanctris tools change, following its own administration flow.

## Safe execution

ChatGPT's own tool confirmation does not replace Sanctris's browser approval. After browser approval, Sanctris automatically executes the operation. Query the original operation ID and inspect its final outcome; no approval relay is needed.
